About the city- Amritsar

       The city of Amritsar (founded in 1577 by Shri Guru Ram Dass) is located at 31⁰-07' North and 74⁰-23' East on the Sher Shah Suri Marg, NH#1. It is about 25 Km. from the International Border with Pakistan. Apart from being a holy city, Amritsar is the commercial hub of north India. The cultural heritage of the city is a saga of religious devotion, spiritual enlightenment and self sacrifice for the larger interests of the society. The Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Durgiana Temple are the major tourist attractions.
